Course Eligibility

Course Eligibility for Transportation Design

Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates must have completed their 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board, preferably in the Science stream (with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) or Arts (with a focus on design-related subjects).
  • Some institutions may also accept candidates from other streams if they demonstrate strong design or technical aptitude.

Minimum Marks:

  • Most institutes require a minimum of 50% to 60% marks in the qualifying exam (12th grade or equivalent), though the specific percentage may vary.

Bachelor’s Degree:

  • For students seeking to pursue a Postgraduate course in Transportation Design, a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or any related field is often required.

Entrance Exams:

  • Many reputed design schools require candidates to clear an entrance exam (such as CEED, NID DAT, or UCEED) to assess their aptitude for design.
  • Some institutes may also conduct a personal interview or portfolio review as part of the selection process.

Age Limit:

  • Age limits are generally not strict for design programs, though specific institutions may have an upper age limit of 22 to 25 years for undergraduate courses.

Skills:

  • Strong creativity, visual skills, and a passion for transportation design are important.
  • Familiarity with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA) can be an advantage.

Ensure to check the specific eligibility criteria of the institution you're applying to, as it may vary slightly from one to another.
