About the Role

As an SDE I DevOps Engineer at Meesho, you will be at the heart of managing and supporting the company's business-as-usual (BAU) operations. You will work with cloud platforms, help in cloud migrations, and implement proof-of-concept (POC) projects to meet the evolving needs of the engineering teams. You’ll be responsible for ensuring smooth operations and service delivery, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and optimizing system architecture.

What You Will Do

BAU Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations, including monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring service availability.
Cloud Migration: Lead and execute cloud migration projects to transfer applications and services across different cloud service providers.
Collaboration with Engineering Teams: Work closely with engineering teams to understand their needs and provide POCs for new tools, technologies, and processes that improve operational efficiency.
Automation & CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline operations. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to deploy applications seamlessly across various environments.
System Architecture Optimization: Work on optimizing system architecture to enhance scalability, reliability, and overall performance.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor system logs and performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and take proactive measures to ensure smooth operation.
Stay Updated: Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices in DevOps, cloud computing, and infrastructure automation.
On-Call Duty: Participate in rotational on-call duties to provide continuous operational support.

What You Will Need

Cloud Platforms: Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms like Google Cloud.
Containerization Technologies: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
Programming & Scripting: Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, JavaScript, and scripting languages like Perl/Bash.
CI/CD & Tools: Solid understanding of CI/CD methodologies with hands-on experience in tools like Jenkins, Git, and ArgoCD.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Familiarity with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to automate cloud infrastructure provisioning.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities and problem-solving skills around infrastructure and systems.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
