WHAT IS GUJRAT TEACHER ELIGIBLITY TEST ?
The Gujrat Teacher Eligibility Test {GET} is a state level entrance exam conducted by the BOARDS OF SECONDARY EDUCATION, GUJRAT {GSEB} or the STATE EXAM BOARD {SEB} . It serves as a benchmark for eligibility to teach in government run schools across the state .
It is a mandatory qualifying examination for individuals aspiring to become teacher in primary(1-5) and upper primary (6-8) schools under the Government of Gujrat .

WHAT IS THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA ?
For Paper I (Classes 1–5 – Primary Level) Candidate must have any one of the following:
- Senior Secondary (Class 12) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
- Senior Secondary (Class 12) with at least 45% marks and passed/appearing in D.El.Ed in accordance with NCTE norms.
- Senior Secondary (Class 12) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Senior Secondary (Class 12) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- Graduation with B.Ed is also accepted for some categories.
For Paper II (Classes 6–8 – Upper Primary Level) Candidate must have any one of the following:
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in 1-year B.Ed.
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed/appearing in B.Ed in accordance with NCTE norms.
- Senior Secondary (Class 12) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in 4-year B.El.Ed.
- Senior Secondary (Class 12) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
