IIM Lucknow Eligibility Criteria

IIM Lucknow has prescribed the following eligibility criteria for admission to its executive postgraduate program in management:

• A Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) or equivalent in any discipline with minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.

• A minimum of three years of managerial/supervisory experience after completion of graduation.

• Candidates appearing in the final year examination of the Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) may also apply.

• A valid score in any of the following entrance tests: CAT/GMAT/XAT/CMAT.

IIM Lucknow Selection Criteria

IIM Lucknow's selection criteria for admission to its Post-Graduate Program in Management (PGPM) comprises three components:

1. CAT Score: The CAT score is the primary criterion for shortlisting candidates. A minimum percentile of 95+ is generally required to be shortlisted for the Personal Interview and Written Ability Test (WAT).

2. Personal Interview (PI): The PI round is conducted at the IIM Lucknow campus. The PI contains a mix of questions related to academics, work experience, personal background, etc.

3. Written Ability Test (WAT): The WAT is a test of writing skills, where the candidates have to write a brief essay or an article on a given topic.

The score in the WAT is considered along with the PI score in the final selection process. Apart from the above-mentioned criteria, IIM Lucknow also takes into consideration the candidate's overall profile, including academic record and work experience, while making the final selection.

IIM Lucknow Admission Process

IIM Lucknow admission process involves a two-step selection procedure. The first step is the Common Admission Test (CAT). Candidates need to clear CAT with a good percentile to be eligible for the second step. The second step includes the Writing Ability Test (WAT) and the Personal Interview (PI). Candidates are shortlisted for the PI round based on their CAT scores, WAT scores, past academic performance, and work experience (if any).

The final selection is based on the candidate’s overall performance in the CAT, WAT, and PI rounds.
