AIIMS Delhi Eligibility 

The eligibility criteria for admission to AIIMS Delhi are as follows:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, with at least 60% marks in aggregate.

• Candidates must be 17 years of age or above as of the 31st of December of the year of admission.

• Candidates should have a valid NEET score.

• Candidates should be medically fit for admission.

• Foreign Nationals are eligible to apply for AIIMS Delhi, provided they fulfil all the eligibility criteria.

AIIMS Delhi Selection Criteria

• All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi offers admission to MBBS and other courses on the basis of marks obtained in the All India Entrance Examination.

• The All India Entrance Examination is a computer-based test conducted for admission to AIIMS Delhi.

• The entrance exam is conducted for a total of 200 marks and it includes Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

• Candidates must score at least 50% marks in the entrance examination to qualify for admission.

• Candidates must also have passed a 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university.

• All the candidates must have obtained at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in their 12th standard or equivalent examination.

• The selection of the candidates is based on a merit list prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance examination.

• The final selection of the candidates is based on the counselling conducted by AIIMS Delhi.

AIIMS Delhi Admission Process

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi offers postgraduate medical courses in different specialties. The admission process for MBBS, MD, MS, MDS and other courses at AIIMS Delhi is conducted through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

1. Eligibility: Candidates must have an MBBS degree from an MCI-recognized university. They must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in their MBBS final year examination.

2. Registration: The first step towards admission to AIIMS Delhi is to register for the NEET exam. The registration form can be filled out online at the official website of the exam.

3. Admit Card: After the registration process is completed, the candidate will receive an admit card for the NEET exam. The admit card contains important details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exam centre, date and time of the exam.

4. NEET Exam: The NEET exam is held twice a year, in April and May. It is an objective-type exam with multiple-choice questions. The exam is of 3 hours duration and consists of 180 questions covering topics from Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

5. Results: The results of the exam are declared after a few weeks of the exam. The results are displayed on the official website of the exam.

6. Counselling: Candidates who qualify for the exam are eligible to participate in the counselling process. The counselling process is conducted in two rounds. The first round is based on the merit list prepared on the basis of the NEET result. The second round is the open round where candidates are allotted seats on the basis of their preference.

7. Allotment of Seats: After the counselling process is completed, the final allotment of seats is made. Candidates who are allotted the seat will have to pay the admission fee and other charges to confirm their admission.

8. Document Verification: The last step in the admission process is the document verification process. Candidates must submit all the original documents like academic certificates, identity proof etc. for verification. The admission process for AIIMS Delhi is quite competitive and requires a lot of preparation.
